Might be alright if you have absolutely nothing better to watch..corny dialogue with even worse crappy one liner jokes and full of the usual macho bull, alright for a one off watch and that's about the best I can say about it. Thirty years after the original and this is the best they can come up with 2/10

a really good installment in the series.
.
good action....good special effects....and humor (which surprised me).
.
good cast that work well together
- Boyd Holbrook....as Quin
- Olivia Munn......as Dr Brackett
- Jacob Tremblay....as a young troubled, autistic boy. (great performance).
and great supporting actors/actresses.
.
worth watching. and get your popcorn!!!.

The Predator lands more between “The Last Boy Scout” and “Iron Man 3,” being a mixture of the flippant-knucklehead-machismo species with frantic comic-book action. Though there’s gore and creatures aplenty, say goodbye to any remaining horror element in this series. Now we’ve got a sort of mashup of Indiana Jones, “Jurassic Park,” and a flying-kung-fu movie, no longer scary in the least but hella loud and busy. Lol...

@ijaski It did lose it's horror/suspense factor, but all movies evolve at some point. However I did wish they cut back on the jokes. Some work (the original had jokes) but there's just too many in this one for a movie about an alien life form that's intent on human death.

This was pretty cool. I went in blind, figuring on a remake with great special effects and lots of action. It wasn't a remake but instead maybe the most fun movie in the franchise. I enjoyed every scene with the ragtag group of military outcasts. Tourettes guy and religious guy both had me really laughing. I don't take movies like this too seriously, which is probably why I enjoyed it so much. Give me alien guts, quirky humor and a bunch of action to kill a couple of hours and I'm down with it.

It's never going to compare to the first one... that one was an original, and as one poster on here already stated, that was another time. However, I did enjoy the feel of the movie as an 80s/90s popcorn movie with the way it intended to evoke a sense of wonder in the characters that you really don't see anymore, because... well, we've seen it all so the characters have seen it all. With that said, that ending means they have to come up with a kick-ass-sh*t-has-hit-the-fan-narrative arc that isn't a single pop and it's done movie, but an epic series that ties things together.

@brian195951 It wasn't bad but I personally hope it's not going the way of marvel movies how at one point they started ramping up the joke/humor factor to the point it's a joke every couple of minutes the whole movie in.

Mmmmmm, con air meets predator
Not as bad as media reviewers would have us believe but when you compare it to predators, it’s pretty lame.
There’s Tourette’s, Aspergers, dysfunctional families, a gung ho female doctor, climate change, genetics, bad goodies,
Good baddies and a plot you can drive a truck through.
It’s come at a time when we have the post avengers lull, so it fills you up but like fast food.
You know you shouldn’t eat it or like it and it’s over processed pap but it’s a guilty pleasure isn’t it >
3/5 for pretty much non stop mindless action

None of the Predator movies have matched the first one, and this one is no exception. Still, this was entertaining. Lots of action and a linear storyline even if it did stray a bit from the original. It was a good filler for any upcoming Predator movies and does offer a new story arc.

Not bad at all. I thought it was going to be a cheezy attempt at the same movie heck since Danny Glover did the second one. But hey new faces and Predator with a new twist. I love this little boy, hes gonna be sticking around been in like 4 or 5 movies now, just wana squish his cute lil face ya know. An so check this out, didn't hit pause once. smiley

I don't know why this is getting so many bad reviews. I enjoyed it very much. Does it have plot holes? Yes, but you can still enjoy the movie for what it is. You get to see some badass action scenes and some wicked looking Predators. I didn't go into to this expecting to have my mind blown so maybe that is why I was able to enjoy it. My advice would be to go into it just wanting to be entertained and you should be happy. If not, then oh well, move onto the next movie. 7/10

Wasn't too bad. Couple of pretty questionable casting choices IMO, but some fairly decent action bits, and some acceptable attempts to plausibly carry the Predator canon/legend forward. I'm constitutionally unable to pass by any Predator (or Alien, for that matter) movie LOL so I was entertained. Maybe you will be, too. smiley Thanks for the great links!

I just watched the HD TS copy, which is a very clear copy, with decent sound. I am incredibly disappointed in this installment, so much so that I personally won't consider it part of the franchise. The first Predator was the best; it was/is original, entertaining and presumed nothing. I found this film presumed too much and assaulted me with way too much replica background music from the first film, which felt forced and awkward. I also found that there are way too many characters being forced on me, so much so that I couldn't establish a relationship with any of them. I really want to like this one, and I'm kicking myself that I don't. I wouldn't recommend it, but I am equally sure that there are those who will enjoy it for their own reasons. Therefore, it is a watch and see for yourself film. Many thanks to all the uplinkers and uploaders who have worked hard and shared their links.

Intelligent design is not evolution. Cancer is evolution, disfigurement is evolution, malformations are evolution. A wolf coyote hybrid is not evolution because the code for the canine species is there in the DNA/RNA. Use your minds sheeple smiley . Adaptation works for intelligent design; not exclusive to the theory of evolution. Anyway a cat will always be a cat whether it's a lion or a tabby. They change but only according to it's code. smiley

(4mo)
@CyborgVampire wow you are all wrong. cancer is a disease in an individual, as is disfigurements, malformations and hybrids. evolution is the change in gene expression in a population over time and has nothing to do with individual mutations or disease. i know it's hard to understand that things happen on a very long time scale and don't magically appear so it's hard to see. but if intelligent design were true then why the lack of imagination? why lump different types of animals into apparently related groups? why like fish, reptiles, birds mammals was the creator really so limited to a few types of things. finally why would the creator make it seem like these related species shared common ancestors if the point was for everyone to know how it really went down and everything just proofed into existence not related to anything else "Use your minds sheeple" might want to take your own advice and stop regurgitating what your pastor told you was true.

+1

expert
@wilso3k "My ways are not your ways" said GOD. Anyway why can't God use a structure for multiple creatures. We do, A bike has tires, brakes, frame, etc.. as does a Big rig. You say gene expression over time and do you have proof of this? No, you don't and if you say fossils I challenge you to direct me to a series of changes (proven) within a given species, say the mouse to a whale or whatever your faith teaches; and please don't give me your Nebraska man or any of the proven frauds that your un-science readily provides. smiley BTW, cancer is evolution as are the others because they came from a change in the DNA/RNA sequence (our genetic blue print) in which, is exactly what your theory teaches happens over time. Evolution is a negative- not a positive.

@CyborgVampire whats happening here is you have invested so much time in these fairy tails that though you are smart enough to understand that it's bs you can't take the chance that you'll miss out on the cloud orgy or whatever heaven is too you.. it's like you understand basic geology plate tectonics, volcanos stuff like that but because you yourself have never seen a mountain range pop up out of no where you can't accept that some sky magic didn't do it before. because the small scale changes just can't have a cumulative effect over long amounts of time, it has to be sky magic.cancer it's a genetic disease caused by mutations not evolution. unless the entire pouplation has a hereditary form of cancer, which gives them some competitive advantage and that's not the case. but think of it this way your belief system is based on the desire for paradise and power that's why you follow that doctrine, science doesn't promise some castle on a cloud in the sky where we can chill with the master of the universe. just a deeper understanding of whats really going on that iron age scribes couldn't conceive. that's what gets me going and why i love science. yet you try to corrupt science to keep the sky wizard from being completely powerless.

@wilso3k I can't prove to you God created this system and you can't prove that evolution/Big Bang are any more real. What I do see is that this universe reveals itself to be designed which is more then your theory has. I know your theories but you have no clue about creationist understanding. You believe by faith in yours and I believe by faith in mine; yet Intelligent design is seen everywhere yet called evolution like a computer or a truck. The push to call any change to a design evolution by "intelligent people" confirms that a wickedness exists to defraud/disclaim God. Even Richard Dawkins stated that if proof for God existed he still would choose not to believe.

@CyborgVampire you can't prove a thing that's the problem if you genuinely believe that you must believe in some fantastical story rather than the facts you are fundamentally flawed. the crazy people on the streets yelling at traffic have had their "realities" revealed to them too, doesn't make either of you right. basically your perceptions, my perceptions, anyones perceptions don't mean crap, adn it's what you can prove objectively. if god was this narcissist then wouldn't he make it obvious or at least supported by some scientific observation. the fact is you have nothing at all. no evidence of some all powerful wizard, no reason to think natural processes can't account for everything we see. technology doesn't just magically appear, that's the crux of intelligent design that at some point everything just appeared much like it is now.there's just nothing to support that.

0

@wilso3k Can't prove a thing, my belief expresses itself every where! Your belief system does not; We see fully developed animals, not any animals display anything out of its genetic code. Again too your "narcissist" insult God said "My ways are not your ways." He wants you to know Him by seeking Him and trusting Him. You don't know why Lucifer and God are at war and you don't know the Creationist argument so how can you sit and try to tell me I'm wrong?

@CyborgVampire you see that's your problem you think of the work of thousands of people using science to understand the universe as some type of faith or comparable to a faith based system. it isn't, that was my first point you missed. you don't have the high ground you aren't even close to the same level as science. some all powerful god that's constantly getting one up-ed by his own angel doesn't sound all that powerful. you claim religion is on par with sc science but desperately look to science for confirmation of your "belief". if religion could stand on it's own it would. but insted your god remains silent and hidden so you're more than happy to fill the gap with your own beliefs cherry picked from the bible. that's why you don't read the book cover to cover the story it really tells isn't copacetic to you. you ask me how i can say you are wrong, that's because you are wrong. you're an adult trying to force yourself and others to believe in literally fairy tales.

0

expert
@wilso3k Yet again you miss the point,; you have no basis to comment because you have no understanding of both sides of the argument- I do... I know both, you don't, if you did then the point of God being "silent" wouldn't come from your lips. Come on friend, take the red pill and stop living in this matrix; all is not what you think it is smiley

@CyborgVampire no you really don't understand science. you still don't even know what evolution is (still not cancer). you think your personal guess means anything fact is i've read many science books you can't even finish your only one you base your life on. it's like someone basing their life on harry potter but they only know the imdb page from the movies. if i felt that some book was my key to paradise i think i would read it through once. not that some stupid book matters because in all of history in every serious question ever asked the answer has never been god did it or because magic. there aren't two sides to the argument anymore than someone claiming the earth is flat and all evidence against that is a grand conspiracy against them. there's the correct side and then there's your side.

@wilso3k I do understand the science behind evolution/Big bang; I also know about the science behind Creation. I argue from knowledge of two perspectives, you don't. From the two theories Creation is the most plausible not to mention the life changing peace that comes from knowing Jesus. BTW, I have read the Book fully, insults are not needed Wilso3k. smiley let's keep this civil. P.S. The Genetic changes(DNA/RNA) from the atom bomb in WW2 were cancer, disfigurement and malformations, not one of the victims became a mouse or a whale neither did a new and better appendage appear on any of the new borns. There was no evidence for Macro/Micro evolution from such a volatile instance neither is there ANY from past history. Where are these changes that you call "science", I call it fabricated. I believe in proof and all the universe (including ourselves) looks designed and you have no facts to counter the Intelligent Design, just theories and insults.

@CyborgVampire you have no idea what science is every time you try to say "yeah i know science" then immediately say something completely ridiculous makes me laugh. the fact that in days it's obvious you haven't even googled anything. yeah right you've read your own book, my bet it looks like a bunch of highlighter and underlined segments that mesh with your own beliefs. what the book really says who knows, certainly not you. when you have to believe that the whole world is out to get you and you're the only one that knows the truth (you can't prove)you're no better than someone screaming at traffic. you are a waste of a life because even if there was a god wouldn't he be disappointed in the fact you never learned about this world or your life, never even finished the one book. i called you a child but that's not entirely accurate kids tend to be curious about things. in the age of information it takes a great deal of will to remain completely ignorant of information just a few clicks away. but nope you aren't supposed to think for yourself it's in the book, i wonder why that is.

@wilso3k I could prove it to you if I chose...having nothing at all to do with any particular book nor religious system. If I did however, I very highly doubt that your mind could take the experience.

Religions are merely mental systems meant to make an attempt at understanding. Science is primarily theory, which are also beliefs. Do not flatter yourself by trying to use it to support you, because it is quite limited also.

Certainly not the end all, be all that some try to make it out to be. I find it amusing that you called another a child and yet not curious enough to be one, all the while while yourself lacking the curiosity to try proving or disproving spirituality, regardless of the particular form. Double standard that. Hypocrite much?

Regardless of anyone's opinions of any religious book or another, ALL of them began as direct experiences of an individual, who later decided to tell others about the experiences, thus the books in question.

How is it in this information age, with all the information that is available, that never occurred to you? It isn't actually a very complicated thing...

I haven't a clue which religion nor which book CyborgVampire puts their attentions upon, but it really makes little difference. No one owes you any explanation. You flatter yourself (apparently a habit of yours) by believing that anyone else cares about your opinion.

You might know what they all say, "Opinions are like @ssholes." And that is quite true...everyone has one and most people con't care to be exposed to that of another because they tend to smell badly. Yours is no exception.

You egotistically decided to state your own opinion about religion in general, despite the fact that you can in no way prove it accurate, but then you go ahead and judge another simply because you disagree about a thing.

That there shows clearly that emotionally and mentally, you are anything BUT mature. You ought to put more consideration into that which you choose to throw at others, because everything that you put out into the world absolutely WILL return home to you, simply because you ARE its only home. I can find that same statement repeated in a great many religious scriptures of various sorts and from various locations and time periods.

Be sure to remember this interaction when yours returns to you!

@wilso3k So you give me no proof for your beliefs, you just insult me and my beliefs. Observation #1- The world reveals itself to be created. 2. All animal types are fully formed with no evidence as to missing links. 3. Any change that happens to the genetic code(DNA/RNA) results in cancer, malformation, disfigurement. 4. Not once has positive change in genetic coding ever been shown, not in volatile change nor length of extended time. The fact that this all lends to my beliefs; not yours. Please give evidence and no more insults wilso3k. I respect you, please respect me. This community is a friendly environment and I have no issue discussing ideas but to constantly be bullied/belittled by your personal attacks/insults is tiring and does not lend anything positive to your argument. smiley

@CyborgVampire lol more proof you can't use google. hell not even kinpa googled "scientific theory". belief system hahahaha. i know you think all knowledge comes from jesus but damn check yourself rather than sticking to things that aren't true. but that's the problem all the evidence against your magic man is just lies to you. you won't change your beliefs for all the evidence in the world, but think this weak sauce argument will make people fall to their knees? without anything even resembling evidence, lol really? i mean come on wheres your undeniable proof that science is wrong and the answer to all the big questions is magic, feel free to type up that proof and claim your nobel prize.
you are an insult to thinking people, you are an insult to people with birth defects, you are an insult to people with cancer (btw two time survivor here). the only problem is you don't understand how insulting trying to spread lies is. it's real nice seeing some moron saying your disease is "evolution" is a great way to piss someone off. it was one thing to be ignorant hundreds of years ago when you couldn't read or write and had to believe whatever the local belief happened to be around. but today you are on right now the largest accumulation of information ever yet here you are bold faced lying trying to give your imaginary friend power over the real world.

i'm truly sorry that the world isn't as magic as you thought, i'm sorry your parents dragged you somewhere to be told lies just because someone did it to them. but none of that makes you right. and the fact you never grew up really saddens me because you decided and continue to decide top be a child clinging to your favorite bedtime story at the expense of everyone and everything else in this life. but ultimately the fault is with you.

@CyborgVampire civil? is that what you call insulting a large population, then crawling up on your cross like you are the victim? that was the point right to piss people off so you could be the victim. maybe you should ask your gods forgiveness for designing you as a douche.

it isn't my responsibility to give you any evidence. have you heard of the orbiting tea-pot? no of course you haven't that would require google. basically it's a thought experiment where someone claims that there's a tea-pot floating somewhere out in space. it isn't up to the scientific community to search space to prove to the claimant that there is defiantly no tea-pot. just like i don't need to provide any evidence the world is a sphere to someone that believes it's flat. it is the burden of the person making fantastical claims to present evidence. i claim that things change over time the generally accepted truth. you come in with your lie and expect people to disprove the tea-pot is out there somewhere. you have to give evidence not me.

@wilso3k Straw man

A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not presented by that opponent. smiley

@CyborgVampire wow you can copy and paste pointless things you don't get the point of the space tea-pot is how science works. science has no responsibility to spoon feed you information. science doesn't have to disprove anything not dragons not ghosts not even god. that isn't the point of science. it's the responsibility of the person making the claim that has to offer proof. that's why scientist preform experiments not because it's fun because it's their responsibility to show their new hypothesis is right, and the responsibility of everyone to check that. i'm not your mom neither is any scientist, you want information go to wikipedia, buy a book, take class. because you're not anyone's responsibility but yours.

@wilso3k That's exactly the point I'm saying; Your theories of evolution HAVE no facts at all. That's why Intelligent design is more reputable BECAUSE we see what I've been saying all along; It's everywhere we look. And you have no rebuttal to dismiss the anthropic principle which holds true to the world around us, your belief doesn't. FACT- no sign of a positive change of genetic restructuring has EVER been found!!!! Science proves to this day your chasing a dream. smiley Science confirms this!!!!!! FACT- Undirected random Genetic change always results in a devastating product!!!!!! P.S. Why respond to this discussion if you have no directive to disprove my statement? That is what debate is.

@CyborgVampire Hey @CyborgVampire ...I am in no way taking Wilso3k's corner in this tangled mess...just wanted to weigh in a little. Gonna do this with a series of numbered points so you can respond to them easily and it will allow for a decent discourse rather than what's going on with you and wilso..

So:

1. Firstly, just going to straight up state...there is no reason whatsoever that science and religious faith/belief have to be at odds...there are plenty of very interesting thought experiments that reconcile religion and science and thousands of top scientists across all fields do so but we can come back to that later.

2. When the word "theory" is used in science it does not carry the same definition as in mainstream day-to-day use... the theory of gravity allows us to fly planes through the skies and launch probes across the solar system...the theory of electromagnetism allows us to send each other these messages across thousands of miles to each other and enjoy the films on this website and the theory of evolution is the single most proven of all of them. We can get back to that too if you like but...
3. You seem to have a deep misunderstanding of the theory of evolution and a few other key scientific principles...please do not take this as an insult or me trying to belittle you. As i stated before I am not one for wilso's brand of militant atheism and I am not trying to make you doubt your faith in any way...It just simply boils my blood in today's day and age to see misinformation prospering (again, not attack on your beliefs in any way, please believe me when I say that) and I hate to see someone who is clearly intelligent but has been misled into thinking that the goodness that Christianity (or any abrahamic religion for that matter) can give you requires you to believe in "intelligent design" a brand of thinking that is directed and profited from by pseudo-scientific, lying, manipulative con-men.

@nemeth32 Hi Nem smiley I just got back from work, (I work up north) Anyway I'll just say you are awesome in that you seem very civil.
1. I agree- science and religion are not at odds. smiley

2.You said "theory of gravity/electromagnetism" but those are factual; they are observable, testable re-creatable unlike evolution.

3.You say I have a misunderstanding of evolution? Evolution is a random genetic change passed down thru the lineage in which adaptation makes it more prevalent to be reoccurring in certain situations. example- A creature with fur surviving cold conditions over one without fur who are of the same species. We have no proof of this. No missing links, no positive genetic variation outside the original DNA/RNA code.

@CyborgVampire Sup Cyborg,

Hope work wasn't a to big a pain in the ass. Thanks dude, being civil should be a given but we are on the internet here so sh*t happens...anyway;

1. Awesome, this means I might actually be able to help a total stranger learn something without you getting too defensive because of the "attacking my beliefs" thing.

2. Yep, I said theory of gravity and theory of electromagnetism alongside theory of evolution. By definition, an accepted scientific theory must have met the burden of proof required. It must have been hypothesised (suggested) have made predictions which were then found to be correct, it must have had experiments thought up to test it and these experiments must be repeatable whilst returning the same results and it must have beat by far the most potent tool for sharpening the scientific stab at knowledge, it must have undergone many attempts to be disproved and gotten through. I'll repeat what I said before again; due to what it meant and the massive implications it had at the time, has had since and continues to have today, the theory of evolution is the single most tested and proven scientific theory in existence. Nothing, from the theory of gravity, to the theories of general relativity has undergone more scrutiny or rigorous testing as the theory of evolution and still been accepted. This brings us nicely on to...

3. Yes, i'm afraid you do. What you have here is a vague notion of how evolution works but far from a true understanding of it. It is this gap in your knowledge that has allowed you to be misled - please take nothing here as insulting, i'm legitimately talking to you as a fellow, equal human being...I just know a bit more about science, or at least evolution than you. I'm not going to go to the effort or patronise you by attempting to breakdown point by point, the theory of evolution here on a message-board under Predator lol, but there are tonnes of brilliant and free resources online and if you like I could certainly recommend you some. For now I'll just go over the last few points you made:

4.This is the infamous "god of the gaps" argument. There are warehouses, LITERAL WAREHOUSES full of "missing links" the trouble is, whenever an archaeological find is unearthed of a species that links two related, but separate species which bridges a gap of a few million or even just hundred thousand years, it becomes it's own species...because that's how classification works. Intelligent design folk then say "show me the missing link between THAT species and the one before it" so it's really an endless cycle whose burden of proof cannot be met. Bare in mind the way geology, Biology and the earth's climate works, the time scales involved and the expertise needed every time someone digs a hole in the right place and it really is a miracle in itself that we have a fossil record at all.

5. When you say "positive" genetic variation outside the original DNA/RNA code, I'm going to assume you mean that you have heard of "junk DNA" and "dark DNA" but for some reason you don't count that as an item of proof. That's fine, I mean, I'd ask myself "why do we have a coccyx and an appendix" for example "if none of these are useful to our lifestyles but were useful to our ancient ancestors, (according to that evolution theory) the great apes" or better yet, for something more "positive" -as in observably an addition and beneficial to the host species survival - take bacterial resistance. Bacteria have a remarkable ability in that they can transfer genetic information horizontally (without reproducing) to each other. If you start a huge colony of bacteria from just one. Incubate it and feed it until there is enough for two whole separate colonies and the introduce one of these colonies to an antibacterial treatment...then take the surviving bacteria and grow them and feed them etc. and repeat this process until they are entirely unaffected by the antibacterial...then re-introduce them to the second colony from the original grow, you will find this resistance transferred. This is not literally how it works, merely a simple thought process to highlight what happens, factually, observable, before your eyes irl..etc etc. I'm not sure how well put this last point was but simplified; to say "there is no positive genetic variation outside the original DNA/RNA code" is simply not true and there is a massive wealth of information out there provided by people far better at explaining these things who are not ready to fall asleep after a day a long-ass day lol. Please, seek out what's there at fingertip reach for you.

After reading all the comments, I decided to give my 2 cents. smiley Yes, the original "Predator" movie was the best, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. What we have here, in this great little gem, is another look into the world of "Predators". With all that's been going on in the "Alien' movie franchise. It was nice to watch smiley a new "Predator" film. I found the story line quite refreshing. Nice take on the characters/predators. I'm kind of giddy smiley I got to see it, this soon. not framed straight with a f**king blurry russian sh*tty sentence on top sound not to bad for a cam, must be wait for the kor hd, can going over 2 minutes.
about the franchise and the Yautja hunters
some points about the yautja society are revealed in AVP and predators and for this last one maybe is the more interresting side
the yautjas are ruthless hunters but they can have some strange values (you could be on my side for short term period of survival in a tacit agreement)
if your are not a menace for them so they don't care (the woman and the kid for ex)
maybe rewriting something about this under this angle view could be more interresting than "so-called" marines vs Yautjas

I saw the movie and tbh you have two choices on rating it. If I'm rating it in the franchise terms then it was quite a disappointing installment even with what seemed like a good enough cast that if the script was just better the movie would of excelled. However if I'm rating it as a relaunch and the first in a line of upcoming films then I'd say it actually was better than people are saying bc it set up who's going to carry the movie and how the fights might look going fwd. I'm bias bc the original will always be the best in my opinion bc it truly felt like you were being hunted and the kills just stuck with you.

Honestly, a little disappointed. I was really hoping this would be really good considering the hype surrounding this film. Also, I'm a big fan of the original which seems, even after watching this, is still the only good Predator film.

In a perfect world, the writers would lose all the clumsy comedic lines and stick to a dark tone of seriousness. Mix in the original horror from Ridley Scotts Alien, and then you'll have something to really watch. However, this film just seems "EHH" nothing really special. Honestly, I don't even feel like I watched it. That's how quick this film leaves your head.

Gonna give this 3.5 out of 10.

@Cinemapie You know, I've had all night to mull over the movie and I've come to dislike it more. I still give it a higher score than you (4/10) but lower than I originally gave it.
In all the movies they've come out in even crappy AVP at least the loss of human life was treated as a horror element. [SPOILER]
Now what? When someone dies it's going to be funny like the movie 2 Guns (Denzel and Marky Mark). Forget "dark comedy", this is heading towards just "comedy". The original had funny moments as any movie with "Catchphrase" Arnold but when "it" hit the fan things got serious. This movie seems to forcefully inject humor throughout the ENTIRE movie just for the sake of having humor throughout the movie. It's like if in editing they said, "these 20 minutes are too intense, let's throw in a joke to break up the suspense".
Dark comedy isn't a bad thing but it's as if quite literally they had a rule of inserting a joke 1 for every 7-10 minutes.

@Cinemapie I feel exactly the way you do but I give it a higher score than that (not that much higher) but only because this one was better than neutered AVP movies. That and this installment gives me some hope that the writers will do better in the next one, i.e. cut back on the jokes.

This is the sixth installment of The Predator series if included AVP & AVP Requiem. This is the worst predator smiley movie I've ever seen I think it'll win multiple awards in Raspberry Awards... From Stories to Screenplay it did not match the action like the previous predator film, even critics given only 34% rotten tomatoes. I think Shane wanted to upgrade the Action and Story so much that it end up so bad. Though I love the blood & gore of the film it's Rated-R but Shane must not direct such film even PG-13 also he's not that best like IronMan 3 with mixed reviews from critics. Very good movie. They really went all out with the budget. The movie has quite a few scenes where the picture is dark so, since it's a "CAM" recording, it's a little hard to see what's going on. I increased the lightness a bit and that worked fairly good. The sound is better than most "CAM" recordings.I love how they included sound effects and music from the first one with Arnold.
